Supporting Foster Youth in their Financial Literacy Journey
PUBLISHED MARCH 10, 2021
The bank recently partnered with Los Angeles Community College (LACC) Guardian Scholars Program (GSP) to kickstart the first in this year’s series of financial literacy workshops. The LACC (GSP) serves students who are current, former, or emancipated foster youth who are pursuing a path within higher education. Daniel Navarro, our Silverlake Branch Manager, was our guest speaker for our first workshop titled “Money Matters.” The workshop taught students the basics on credit, why credit is important, and how you can avoid pitfalls with credit. We are excited to continue supporting foster youth in their financial literacy journey.
