How Longtime Partner, United Way, is supporting the L.A. Community During the Pandemic
PUBLISHED FEBRUARY 18, 2021
United Way of Greater Los Angeles (UWGLA) is a nonprofit organization that has been taking on social issues and creating opportunities for people in need. Recently, many have been hit hard during the pandemic and the Los Angeles community has experienced increased homelessness, job losses, plus other financial issues. Elise Buik, first female President and Chief Executive Officer of United Way Greater Los Angeles is leading the efforts to combat these problems.
This past year, we were able to partner up with Elise and UWGLA to provide basic essentials like water, hand sanitizer, food and protective gear to vulnerable families and individuals affected by the pandemic. This year marks the 25th anniversary of our partnership with United Way, collectively giving over $11 million to combat social issues in our L.A. community. We are honored to be able to partner with United Way these past 25 years and very proud to see what we have accomplished together.
