The bank recently honored first responders by presenting $10,000 contributions to the Pasadena Police Foundation and to the Pasadena Fire Department’s designated charity, 809 Fight 4 Awareness. The contributions were presented to Police Chief John Perez and Fire Chief Chad Augustin at a Public Safety and Community Engagement event at our Pasadena Commercial Banking Center. In his remarks, our Chairman and CEO Dominic Ng thanked Police Chief Perez for his 36 years of service and welcomed Fire Chief Augustin to his new post at the city. Other local officials and representatives from community organizations also participated in the event.
The event also celebrated the re-opening of our community businesses and was an opportunity to enhance relationships and partnerships after a challenging year. “At East West Bank, we are committed to building bridges to the communities we serve,” said Travis Kiyota, SVP-Head of Global Corporate Affairs. “The past year has been challenging. As the economy begins to re-open, East West is delighted to reconnect with our public safety and community partners. They improve the quality of life in this great city, and we’re here to help them build a stronger community together.”
